How MK2’s HR team builds its training plans with Elevo

The 4 major HR challenges for MK2
In late 2019, driven by the Executive Management, MK2’s HR team, led by Juliette Merlant, decided to adopt a tool to digitalise its annual and professional review campaigns. This digital transformation project aimed to meet four main objectives.
1°) Moving away from Word
First and foremost, the goal was to leave behind Microsoft Word — the software the HR team had been using to run review campaigns — and adopt an ergonomic, easy-to-use tool.
2°) Finding an HR tool to formalise the review process
At the time, Juliette Merlant would draft review templates in Word and send them in paper form to employees. The result: a completion rate barely above 50%, as the process failed to meet employees’ expectations for a positive experience. The Executive Management and HR team wanted to reverse this trend by formalising the review process with an intuitive HR tool.
3°) Better career path management and targeted training plans
That 50% completion rate also impacted HR’s work: with too little data collected, the team couldn’t implement targeted actions, particularly around training. In other words, it was difficult for Juliette Merlant to fine-tune career path management and design relevant training plans — both critical development priorities for the company.
4°) Tracking employee performance
Finally, the new tool was also intended to improve performance tracking by enabling managers to easily access set objectives.

The goal is to ensure employee aspirations are aligned with their manager’s expectations. The HR team then drafts a summary for the Executive Board and collaborates with managers to refine the plan, which is then presented to the Board for approval.
