How the Rabot Dutilleul HR team runs its career committees with Elevo

Before Elevo: a process lacking objectivity
Before using Elevo, the members of Rabot Dutilleul’s HR team managed their career committees in Excel—an approach that made it difficult to extract and share collected data.
In addition, direct managers were not involved in the career committees: employee positioning was handled by department heads. These leaders would assign employees to groups without first answering any structured questions, and then justify the placements during collective sessions.
The weaknesses of this process were:
1°) Department heads do not know employees as well as their direct managers do.
2°) The talent mapping process was not guided by a questionnaire that could bring objectivity.
3°) This lack of objectivity slowed down career committees, since each placement had to be carefully reexamined during collective sessions.
With Elevo: implementing a more structured process
In 2023, faced with these challenges, the HR team at Rabot Dutilleul decided to switch tools and manage its career committees on Elevo. This change allowed the HR team to evolve its process: now, it is the direct managers who evaluate their employees.
“We didn’t have to train direct managers on the career committee process in Elevo because they were already used to using the platform during performance review cycles. We simply sent them an email explaining the process. Everything went very smoothly because Elevo is such an intuitive tool.”

Direct managers have welcomed this process enthusiastically because it enables them to have more constructive conversations with their employees, providing precise feedback on their career development prospects.
“On Elevo, direct managers appreciated being guided during evaluations through targeted questions. This allowed them to probe deeper and provide more detailed answers.”
